Bases and Blends
Here
you'll find pre-made "bases" or blends that could be a starting point
for your explorations. Some of them will have a formula associated with
them to enable beginning perfumers to learn more about the raw
ingredients (aromachemicals) that go into the creation of these blends.
What is the difference between the Master's Bases and Fragrance Oils?
These Master's Bases are not diluted, except in rare cases when that's
the only way they are produced. Even then they are very strong, much
stronger than fragrance oils. Since the companies that produce these
blends are the suppliers to the commercial perfume industry, there is
much more reliability with their availability.
Professional perfumers make good use of these blends!

Scandinavians traditionally use birch twigs in the sauna to stimulate the blood circulation. This is the characteristic fragrance of heated birch leaves in a sauna bath. MSDS More Information |
base note A blended reconstitution of aloeswood, but softer Agarwood is a classical material used in perfumery. When this wood is infected by certain fungi, it develops dark streaks charged with an odiferous oleoresin. The darkest grade, black or true agar, resembles black stone because of the intense impregnation of oil. This resin is highly valuable due to its rich, complex, powerful, woody-ambery scent. It is, however, an extremely expensive material that is difficult to find. Black Agar givco reflects the particular scent of burning Agarwood chips. This base melts ambery, olibanum and balsamic notes. Black Agar Givco adds sophistication and richness to a range of accords, including woody accords, orientals, and chypres, and is effective from the top note through to the bottom note. Ultrazur is a new base that can
be used in most applications where a fresh, substantive, ozonic note is
desired. It blends well with fresh, citrus, floral, chypre, spices,
white florals and woody notes.
